Leonid Kuchma and Saparmurat Niyazov

Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma (right) and Turkmenistan’s President Saparmurat Niyazov change by signed papers after the signing of agreements in Kyiv on Monday, May 14, 29001. This day the presidents sighed a number of joint agreements between Ukraine and Turkmenistan on the long-term trade and economical cooperation for 2001-2010. Among the other the parties also sighed the agreement of supply of natural gas from Turkmenistan in Ukraine for 2002-2006. A day before Niyazov arrived in Ukraine with official three-day visit.
