«Mria» An-255
«Mria» An-255 airplane flies over the Antonov Aviation Scientific Center’s flight station in Gostomel, Kyiv outskirts, on Monday, May 7, 2001. This day the world largest super-heavy universal transport aircraft made a flight. Mria An-225 was created in 1988 as an air start platform for the Buran space cargo aircraft launches. Load capacity - 250 tones, size of load cabin 43 meters, width - 6.4 meters, height - 4.4 meters. The inside fuselage surface may carry loads, dimensions of which exceed the possibilities of other transport means, for example 7-10-meter in diameter and 70m-long loads, shuttle crafts, avia-space purpose produce. As soon as the certificate of type is received the car will be presented on the Paris Avia Salon in Le Bourget (France) in this June.
