Aleksandr Turchinov

Aleksandr Turchinov was summoned to the main investigation department of the Prosecutor General's Office for questioning. The Batkivschyna Party said it considers these summonses to be "political terror". On November 29, Turchinov was summoned to the Prosecutor General's Office for questioning regarding the expenditure of funds that were received from the sale of quotas of greenhouse gas emissions by the government of former Premier Yulia Timoshenko. Turchinov was summoned to the main investigation department of the Prosecutor General's Office for questioning on Nov. 11, 2010. He told reporters that an investigator had questioned him as a witness in a case on charges brought against former Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko regarding the embezzlement of funds.
