Nikolay Azarov and Viktor Pshonka
General Prosecutor of Ukraine Viktor Pshonka, left, and Prime minister of Ukraine Nikolay Azarov during sitting of the National Security and Defense Council, in Kiev, on Wednesday, November 17, 2010. President of Ukraine said that the public should receive full information about all government actions and the consequences of these actions. President said that many protests in society had been linked to the lack of such information. He said that people should receive concrete and reliable information about the situation in the country. As an example, Yanukovich pointed to the situation with pension reform. He said that the situation was such that without reforming the pension system, the number of workers and retirees in Ukraine would be equal in a few years."We currently have 18 million employees and 14 million retirees. And if such a situation and the legislation are not changed, and if we do not reform the pension system, then in a few years we'll have the same number of workers as retirees," the president said.
