President praised investors’ contribution in modernization of Karpatnaftokhim. First of all, he thanked OJSC LUKOIL President Vagit Alekperov. "Many thanks to Vagit Alekperov and his company, who kept their word and invested over $550 million in reconstruction of the enterprise," he said. He expressed confidence that modernization of Karpatnaftokhim will continue. "I think this plant will see further development, launching of the second and third set of investment projects and approaching about $1 billion of investment," Viktor Yanukovich said. He also said it is possible that one day the enterprise will become the most advanced in Eastern Europe, and Europe as a whole.
