The Militia cycle-patrol

The Militia cycle-patrol on the territory of Hydropark, Kyiv (August 27, 1999). On the 27th of August was declared about the regular formation of the bicycle militia sub-division. The sub-division was founded in the experimental order in June of 1998. The principle task of the sub-division is the prevention of the law infringement in the places of mass rest in the spring-summer time. Starting from the May 1 over than the bicycle militia seized 500 administrative offenders and a number of robberies were disclosed. For the present time 18 cyclists are in the sub-division. Besides, 2 mounted policeman, auto-patrol and the detachment with the dogs patrol the Hydropark. The cycle patrols use the "Aist" (Belarus) and "Rometa" (Poland) bicycles.
