Kyiv International Film Festival Molodist is held in Kyiv annually during the last week of October. The Festival is a legal entity belonging to the Union of Filmmakers of Ukraine. Film Festival Molodist commenced its activity in 1970. It was a local festival in which participated young students of the cinematographic faculty of Kyiv National Institute of theatre arts named after Karpenko-Karyi. Since then Ukrainian young film Festival is oriented towards the young cinematographers. Festival’s main goal is to find and to discover help young talents to occupy a fitting place in contemporary cinema process. Grand Prix of the Kyiv International Film Festival «Molodist» is awarded by the International Jury of the festival to the best film of the whole competition program. The Grand Prix winner receives the festival's symbol - the statuette "Scythian Deer", a monetary award of 10,000 USD, and a diploma. Photo by UNIAN
