Vadim Dolganov
President of Ukrainian National TV-Company (UNTC) Vadim Dolganov during the sitting of the VR Committee on the freedom of speech and mass media information, on Wednesday, April 4, 2001 in Kyiv. On April 2 the Ukrainian Prime Minister Victor Yushchenko submitted to the Ukrainian President to relieve Dolganbov of his post. The key claim is «admission of inadequate information about principles, basis and results of Government’s activity, dealing with branch-wise and other directions. According to V. Yushchenko, Dolganov could not provide the unbiased informing about the Government’s activity. In his own turn during the aforesaid VR sitting V. Dolganov declared that «the UT-1 channel presents alternative points of views». Answering the question if Presidential Administration pays for translations of President Leonid Kuchma’s press-conferences and «for special orders», which discredit the Prime Minister Victor Yushchenko, Dolganov marked that the UNTC acts exceptionally basing on law, which, in particular, reads that NACU is obliged to analyze widely the president’s activity.
