A nurse examines one of the victims of the accident on the ship "Memory of Mercury" on Monday, January. 29, 2001 in the Sebastopol's 1st Hospital, which received 23 victims. At 16.00 on Jan. 28 Ministry of Emergency of Ukraine got the information that the motor ship "Memory of Mercury, which left the Istanbul port (Turkey) on Jan 26 for Evpatoria port, did not reach the destination in time. 51 persons were on board a ship, including 20 passengers. In the course of the accident 14 persons died, 32 were found alive, 5 disappeared.
