Russian Ambassador in Ukraine Ivan Aboimov positively estimates the development of the Ukrainain-Russain relationships in 2000 on the press-conference in the Russian Federation Embassy in Kyiv, on Wednesday, Jan.24, 2001. According to him, "the positive steps are based on the political will and extremely saturated dialogue of the higher leadership of the states". The RF Ambassador also mentioned about the settlement of the gas sphere relationships between the states. Ukraine and Russia, he said, "long time walked towards the solution of gas problem, which even half a year seemed cul-de-sac. Now the problem is solved profitably both for Russia and Ukraine.
