Crimean-dweller Sergey Kovalenko declares in the Court, that he brought a suit against the Swiss Concern VOLVO on the press-conference in the UNIAN agency on Wednesday, January 19, 2000. Ukrainian citizen, Crimean pensioner Sergey Kovalenko brought a suit for $70 million against Car Concern "VOLVO" and its official dealer in Ukraine "Viking Motors". He requires this sum as financial and moral indemnity for he, 33-year-old man, became an invalid in the course of the car accident. In March on 1998 Mr. Kovalenko purchased the VOlVO C70 Coupe car worth more than $60 thousands, which was advertised as one of the most safe cars within the last years. In the course of the traffic accident all the safety pillows failed to work. On Monday, Jan. 22, 2001 the crashed car will be exposed in front of the UNIAN agency.
