Gennady Udovenko, the Chairman of the National Rukh of Ukraine (NRU), holds the souvenir - Symbol of Power (Bulava) and the bunch of flowers in his hands and accepts the congratulations, after he had been registered as a candidate for the President of Ukraine near the entrance to the CEC building (Wednesday, July 28, 1999). He received the certificate of the candidate for President ?6 at the CEC meeting. The CEC declared valid 1,275,875 signatures, supporting Udovenko. 395,144 signatures were declared invalid.
