Cardinal Lyubachevskyi, 86, died on Thursday , December 13, 2000 at 4.00 at night in Lviv. The Pope Joann Pavel the II presented his condolence to all the Greco-Catholics. On September 21, 1938 Ivan Lyubachevskyi adopted the priestly consecration from the hands of Metropolitan Andrey Sheptirtskyi. After the joining of the Western Ukraine to the USSR in 1939 and liquidation of the greco-catholic church he departed in the USA. In 1984 he became the Lviv's Supreme Archbishop.
