Zaporozhye Aluminium Plant

Zaporizhia-based Manufacturing Aluminum Plant ZaLK electrolysis shop on Friday, December 8, 2000. The ZaLK is the monopolistic producer of aluminum, alloys on the basis of aluminum and crystalline silicon for semi-conducting industry. Today ZaLK has the partner relationship with the 150 companies in many States. The industrial capacity of the enterprise allows to smelt 110 million of tons of aluminum annually. The 83% of the produce is exported. On September 6, 2000 the State Property Fund declared about tender on 68.1% State share holding. Kremenchug-based Car Factory KRAZ won the tender. The KRAZ offered $101.5 million. The KRAZ will fulfill the investment project on ZaLK in collaboration with the Western Company "Glenkor".
