Picket participant

Picket participant swings the broom, requiring the retirement of government, at the Cabinet of Ministers House in Kyiv, on Tuesday, November 14, 2000. Some 200 thousand of people took part in the picket, organized by the "Union Chernobyl Ukraine" and required from the government to preserve in 2001 the existing level of financing of Chernobyl programs subject to inflation, as well as clearing off the debts on social payments to Chernobyl victims. They also required to withdraw the anti-Constitution articles from the draft budget-200, which cancel the privileges to children, widows, sharply limit the rights of Chernobyl APS victims and catastrophe liquidators.
