Vladimir Strumkovskyi

The UNIAN archive Khreshchyatik paper photo-reporter Vladimir Strumkovskyi, on October 24, 2000. On late Thursday, October 26, 2000 on his way home after the traveling shooting not far from the metro "Shulyavskya" Mr Strumkovskyi was attacked by the group of 4 persons. He was cruelly beaten and robbed. His face is seriously traumatized, besides two ribs were broken, he got brain concussion. The victim was taken to the ambulance hospital, were he just got the first medical aid. He was to pay for help, as well as for his stay in hospital, as he had no Kyiv registration. Less than after a day in a serious condition he was discharged from the hospital for the aforesaid reason. Within the last year and a half 6 analogous attacks on the photo-correspondents took place near the metro station Shulyavskaya. None of the victims has got any aid till now, or at least some support - neither social, as Ukrainian citizen, nor professional, as the representative of the unsafe profession.
