Sergey Golovatyi
Ukrainian People's Deputy, Venetian Committee (VC) member Sergey Golovatyi declares on the press-conference in the UNIAN agency on Monday, October 16, 2000, that the project of changes in Constitution, proposed by the President of Ukraine could not be passed in the existing form. The VC pointed, that the deputy's immunity, conditions of deputy's arrest and determination of the beginning of the counting out the mouthy term of formation of the permanently acting Parliamentary Majority" should be introduced in the Constitution. In the case if the Supreme Council introduces the changes in the Constitution not taking into consideration the notes, committee warns "about the serious problems for democracy, leadership of power and systems of containment and counterbalance between the power branches".
