Oles Bashuk

Son of seized Alexander Bashuk - Oles, 4, holds the placard with the caption "Release my Father from Custody" during the picket of the Ukrainian General Prosecutor's Office on Wednesday, August 16, 2000. The participants of the picket, organized by the Supporting Committee of Group "Samostyina Ukraina" (Independent Ukraine), required to release Bashuk (organizer of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine Office seizure on March 9, 2000) from custody. Pickets also require - to improve the conditions of the keeping in the places of imprisonment before trial, seizure of tortures of arrested persons, as well as consider the seized members of the ":Samostyina Ukrayina" to be politically repressed ones.
