The Ministry of Extraordinary Affairs (MEA) servicemen

The Ministry of Extraordinary Affairs (MEA) servicemen use the sorbent-destroyer "Econadin" to neutralize the diesel fuel on water surface not far from village Lipnyki, Pustomytivskyi region, Lvivska Oblast, on Monday, August 14, 2000. On Saturday morning, August 12 near village Linyki ), the oil dripped out of the section of the pipe-line "Prikarpattransnefteprodukt", owned by "Transnefteproduct" firm (Samara). The MEA informed, that, according to the preliminary data, the run-out was caused by the crack in pipe. All in all some 600 liters of diesel fuel has flown out, 400 liters of the amount were collected and 100 burnt, the rest part occurred in water. The liquidation work is carried out by 66 men and 6 units of technical equipment, in particular, by Ukrainian MEA emergency-rescue subdivision D0090 (town Drogobach).
