Nikolay Gaber, the national deputy, the leader of the Patriotic Party of Ukraine. 1,200,000 signatures, supporting Nikolay Gaber for the President were presented to the CEC on Monday, July 12, 1999. The signatures were gathered equally in all the regions of Ukraine. The most of all were gathered in Kyiv, Nikolaevska, Donetska, Cherkasska Oblasts. Nikolay Gaber, born in 1960, ecologist, research assistant of the Institute of Zoology under the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences, the chief editor of the "Obolon" newspaper, dwells in Kyiv.
