This day the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine dismissed Yuriy Yekhanurov from the post of the Defense Minister of Ukraine. 363 out of 398 lawmakers registered in the session hall voted "for" this decision. 161 lawmakers from the Party of Regions, 152 lawmakers from the BYUT, 4 lawmakers - from the OU-PSD, 27 lawmakers - from the CPU and 19 lawmakers from the Lytvyn's Bloc supported the dismissal of Y. Yekhanurov. Y. Yekhanurov was dismissed from the post for fixed numerous cases of violation of present legislation. Particularly, for illegal operations with special technique, which was used in liquidation of objects of preserving of nuclear weapons, illegal forming of Military-Medical department of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine, illegal giving functions to Consultative bodies in the management system of the Ministry ect.
