State Committee on Regulatory Policy and Business Head Alexandra Kuzhel comments the Presidential Decree ?813 of June 22, 2000 "On the additional measures for strengthening fight against the concealment of taxation of income, as well as washing the proceeds of illegal activity" on the press-conference in the UNIAN agency, on Tuesday, July 4, 2000, Kyiv. According to Mrs. Kuzhel, the Decree enables the State Taxation Administration of Ukraine to "fulfill control upon the cash and clearing transactions, including those bank accounts, credits, transactions with other personal and real property, on import and export of large size of foreign currency in Ukraine", which exceed the limits of legislation. Kuzhel troubles about the possibility of introduction in the nearest future of Law on fight against washing of proceeds of illegal activity, considering, that this will drive the smaller businessmen in the shadow economy. She also marked about the passed by VR on June 1 and signed by President on June 30 new version of Law on electronic cash registers, declaring, that, this Law, in fact, crosses out the simplified taxation system, introduced in 1998.
