On Tuesday, May 19, 2009 President of Ukraine appointed Vera Ulyanchenko as a head of the Secretariat of the President of Ukraine. Vera Ulyanchenko has been taking the post of chairwoman of Kyiv Oblast State Administration since June 2006. On May 16, 2009 she was elected a chairwoman of the Council of "People's Union Our Ukraine" party. Former Chief of Staff Victor Baloha sent in his resignation on May 12.
