Ceremony of laying-on of flowers to Memorable Kreuzhang

Participants of the wreath-laying ceremony to the Memorial Cross at the territory of “Bykovnyansk graves” national reserve in Kyiv, on Sunday, May 17, 2009. The President of Ukraine took part in the measures of honoring the memory of political repressions victims at the territory of “Bykovnyansk graves” national reserve on Day of memory of victims of the political repressions. The President wreathed flowers to the monument of Political Prisoner at the entrance to the reserve and to the Memorable Cross . The head of the state also took part in mournful procession to the Memorable Cross and delivered a speech. A service for the dead with participation of priesthood of the Ukrainian churches took place within the frameworks of the measures. At the end of the official part of the measure the participants of the measure honoured the memory of perished compatriots by a minute of silence within the frameworks of the measure.
