Container ship „Hansa Stavanger”

A container ship „Hansa Stavanger”, captured in captivity by Somali pirates on April 5, 2009. The negotiations concerning releasing conditions from captivity of the ship MV „Hansa Stavanger” captured by Somali pirates, where there are two Ukrainian citizens, continue. According to information of a ship owner, the state of health of sailors is satisfactory. The ship owner can not forecast time of successful termination of the negotiation process and reaching the final arrangement. Representatives of the ship owner’s company inform family members of the captured sailors about situation on the ship constantly. The case is under the control of the Consulate General of Ukraine to Hamburg, Embassy of Ukraine to FRG and the Department of consular service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine. Somali pirates captured one more ship, Malaspina Castle (flying the flag of Panama), on April 6 in Gulf of Aden. Two Ukrainians are in the crew of the ship. Members of the crew of Malaspina Castle ship captured by pirates feel well. According to information of company –operator of the ship, a constant contact is maintained with the captain of the ship.
