The police had to withdraw from a flight and detain Interior Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko and his 19 years old son, who were in alcoholic intoxication condition on Monday, May 4, 2009, at the airport of Frankfort on the Main. According to data of Deutsche Welle with a reference to Bild newpaper, Yuriy Lutsenko and his son Oleksandr spent half a night in police department of Frankfort on the Main airport. According to Associated Press agency with a reference to representatives of police of Germany, Interior Minister of Ukraine with his son arrived from Kyiv to Frankfort on the Main on Monday, May 4. They were going to fly on a route Frankfort on the Main – Seoul in the evening this day. It was not allowed Yuriy Lutsenko and Oleksandr to enter on a board the plane because of inadequate behaviour. Ukrainians made a row, cursed, threw their mobile phones in employees of the law-enforcement agencies and fought, an edition reports. The police had to call for reinforcements and use a force. After scuffle with employees of the law-enforcement agencies Interior Minister of Ukraine and his son were conveyed to the police department in the airport, at the same time employees of the law-enforcement agencies had to handcuff to the son of Interior Minister of Ukraine. A test has showed that the alcohol concentration in the blood of the Ukrainian Interior Minister’s son made up 3 ppm. Yuriy Lutsenko succeeded in avoiding alcohol test thanks to diplomatic immunity. Y. Lutsenko and his son had to spend some time in the police department after that it was allowed to continue traveling – in sober condition.
