Former lawmaker of Ukraine Igor Pilipchuk perished in Nepal on May 2, 2009 under unclarified circustances. Igor Pylypchuk was born in 1961 in Sosnovka town of Lviv Oblast. From August 1985 Igor Pylypchuk worked in interior affairs institutions, was an employee of Department on struggle with misappropriation of socialist property. In 1991 he was sent studied in the Academy of Interior Ministry of USSR, from 1993 he worked in the regional department of Department on struggle with organized criminality of Interior Ministry of Ukraine in Lviv Oblast. In 1998 Igor Pylypchuk was elected a parliament member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, he was in the BYUT faction. In the parliament he took a post of chairman of the committee on struggle with criminality and corruption and was head of inter-Parliamentary group Ukraine-Poland. After an end of the parliamentary cadence Igor Pylypchuk became Vice President of “Ecomet” corporation (Kyiv). Form March 2009 he returned to work in interior affairs institutions, was head of Department on struggle with organized criminality of Interior Ministry of Ukraine in the Ternopil Oblast. Igor Pylypchuk was awarded with order “For Courage” of the3 rd degree and Letter of Commendation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. He was an active public figure, from 2003 was a Vice President of track and field athletics Federation of Ukraine. From 2007 by decree of the Minister of Interior Ministry was appointed a deputy chairman of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine, chairman of Department on struggle with organized criminality of Interior Ministry of Ukraine in the Zakarpattya Oblast.
