Yoshka Fisher
The German vice-chancellor Yoshka Fisher on the press-conference on Friday, June 23, 2000, in Kyiv. He made a declaration that he did not consider his visit in Ukraine to be successful. The day before vice-chancellor arrived in Ukraine with the 2-day official visit. The one of the most urgent topics of the negotiations was the question of complex solution of Chernobyl APS closure, fulfillment of G Seven's and EC's total obligations, foreseen in the Memorandum on mutual understanding (1995) and preparations for Chernobyl Fund's Donors Second Conference on June 5 in Berlin. In the Ukrainian Foreign Policy Office the visit is considered to be the important step to preparations of top-level Ukrainian -German Consultations on July 12 in Leipzig.
