Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko during the meeting with US Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg ,in Kyiv, Monday, April 27, 2009. During the negotiations James Steinberg said that "the Government of Ukraine accepts challenges of the world finance crisis and knows how to overcome it". "On example of actions of your Government we got to know that you have an understanding how difficult are existed challenges and readiness to solving existed issues", said US Deputy Secretary of State. James Steinberg noted that from one side the crisis - it is strong challenges and from other side it is possibility for strong leaders to demonstrate leading role in order to take the country to new, higher level. According to his words, one of the main work directions of Ukraine on overcoming the crisis is continuation of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund. In her turn, Yulia Tymoshenko thanked James Steinberg for promotion in adjustment of cooperation of Ukraine with International Monetary Fund. Moreover, Yulia Tymoshenko noted that now the Government has political intention to carry out structural, long-term and difficult reforms, which are provided by general program on cooperation of Ukraine with IMF.
