The official meeting ceremony of the President of Ukraine and Governor-General of Canada took place in Kyiv. The head of the Ukrainian State with his wife Kateryna Yushchenko met Michaelle Jean and her husband Jean-Daniel Lafond near the Secretariat of the President of Ukraine. Military orchestra performed national Anthems of both countries, there was a salute of twenty salvoes, which symbolizes friendliness intentions of the sides.
