Crown of king Daniel Galitskiy
A crown of Danilo Galitskyi exhibited in Lviv Pototsky palace, on Friday, January 9, 2009. A crown of Danilo Galitskyi was exhibited in Lviv Pototsky palace. The jewel is a copy of crown of king Danilo Galitskyi. Pope Innokentiy IV presented him the crown with a title 755 years ago, because he had a courage to withstand to Mongol-Tatars. Nobody knows where the origin is. The only probable image of the crown was taken as a sample – on the seal of Yuri І, the son of king Danilo. Jewelers had been working on the copy for two years. The crown weighs 3 kg – it is made from gold and 700 carats of precious stones, including 16 diamonds and near 500 pearls. The symbolism of jewels is taken into account: diamonds are for strengthening of courage, rubies are power and strength, pearl is amulet from anger and hatred, and citrine is for luck.
