The KRW's capacity makes up 71 millions of tones per year. The 56% of actions are managed by the "Torgivyi Product Ukrnefteproduct", the 99% of which are owned by the "Kazakhoil" branch - "Kaznafta"enterprise. The Kazakh party got the managing of KRW in accordance with the Inter-Governmental agreement, signed by Ukraine and Kazakhstan on October of 1999. According to the agreement, "Kazakhoil" must supply oil to the works, as well as fulfill the modernization of the plant's capacity and the system of oil marketing, using the up-to-date anti-crisis managing technologies. The "Group Alliance" is the project coordinator. Mr. Bazhaev, the "Group Alliance" President had died in the course of the air accident on Thursday, March 9, 2000. Mr Bazhaev was leaving Moscow for Kyiv, to meet Victor Yushenko, the Ukrainian Prime Minister. They together were to leave for Kazakhstan to negotiate about the fulfillment of the Ukrainian-Kazakh project on the regular KRW's work. The project would have helped Ukraine to feel more self-confident in the negotiations with Russia and contradicted the interests of the Russian Oil Companies, if in had succeeded.
