Final. Anzor Tembotrov vs. Guram Mchedadze
Anzor Tembotrov, down, and Guram Mchedadze, the Ukrainian team's wrestlers, fight for the first place in the weight category till 76 kg in the final of the VI International Free-style Wrestling Tournament "Grand-Prix", on Saturday, February 19, 2000, in Kyiv. Nobody of the wrestlers had won the game as their duel turned into the fight, provoked by Tembotov. The both wrestlers were disqualified by the senior referee. The term of their withdrawal from the competition will be settled in the nearest future. The teams from the 16 world countries took part in the tournament. Russia won the first place, in accordance with the number of golden medals (4 medals). The Ukrainian team won 3 medals and got the 2nd place. The incident between Tembotov and Mchedadze hampered Ukraine to occupy the first place together with Russia.
