The Greece owned ship with the crew of 19 Ukrainian sailors and 3 Greeks was seized on May 27, 1999, in the Caribbean Sea. The USA Authorities preferred a charge in drug contraband, as, according to their data, 4 tons of drugs, worth $400 millions were on board a ship. Sergey Kurdyukov, the captain, Sergey Kruglyak, the mate, and Oleg Khmyznikov, the third mate, were declared guilty by the Texas state authorities, the USA, in the drugs contraband. They had transported 10 tons of cocaine, worth-$1 billion in USA during the 10 months. In accordance with the USA Criminal Code, the term of imprisonment for each defendant will be fixed at the beginning of the next year, the life imprisonment is not excluded.
