The former Premier-Minister of Ukraine Lazarenko on Monday, June 21, 1999. was to appear in the Court in San-Francisco, in order to come to a decision, if he will be given out to Switzerland on a charge of illegal financial operations. At the beginning of this year Lazarenko was seized in New York and, later, moved in California, where his wife and children live. The former Premier-Minister strives for the political refuge in the USA, declaring that if he returns to Ukraine he risks to be tortured and killed.
