Igor Bakay, the Chairman of the Company "Neftegaz Ukrainy" declares, that he considers the work of the company for the 1999 to be 100% positive and to meet the State interests during the press-conference in Kyiv, on Monday, January 17, 2000. Bakay denied the accusations in stealing of the Russian Gas. According to him, the sum of debt to Russian Company "Gasprom" for 1997-1999 makes up with the calculation of the fines - only $763.25 millions, instead of $2.725 billions, appointed by Yulia Timoshernko. Bakay declared that the gossip about the opposition between him and Timoshenko and the Sergeey Tulub, the Minister of Fuel and Energy have no ground.
