An old man

An old man (on the right), the participant of the Ukrainian Cossacks Organization near the representatives of the Children Organization "Kozachata" takes part in the funeral procession of Yemelyan Polevoy (a man of 86), one of the latest leaders of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UIA) (Monday, June 14, 1999). The former commander of the military district "Lysonya" - the UIA line organization, acting on the territory of Ternopilska Obl. in 1943-1945yy, was sentenced to be shot in 1947. Instead of it he was imprisoned for 25 years, denying all the propositions to renounce from UIA. After the discharge he was under the surveillance till the USSR collapse.
