Alexander Tkachenko

Alexander Tkachenko, the Verkhovna Rada's speaker observes his certificate for the candidate for the President of Ukraine just after the registering in the Central Election Committee (CEC) on Thursday, July 15, 1999. On Wednesday, October 27, 1999 Tkachenko passed the declaration to CEC about the withdrawal of his candidature from for the high state post. According to the Law about the Ukrainian President Elections, October 27 - is the last day when the candidature can be withdrawn. As a result, 13 candidates will take part in the election.
