The believers kiss the cross, before the ceremony of raise on the cupola of the reconstructed Uspensky Cathedral of the Kyivo-Pecherska Lavra on Thursday, October 14, 1999. Built in XI century, the Uspensky Cathedral was blown up in November of 1941, during the Kyiv occupation by Fascist Army. The Cathedral's reconstruction in the shape, which it had at the end of the XIX century, started in 1984.
