Valentina Tereshkova was accepted into the astronaut detachment on March 12, 1962 and was there up to April 28, 1997. Her firts space flight (the first flight of woman - astronaut ) she accomplished on June 16, 1963 om "Vostok-6" space ship and it lasted three days.
