Servicemen of Ministry of Internal Affairs search a USA citizen Natan Gozman who is suspected of committing crimes, in particular, in murder of a policeman in New York before the his deportation from Ukraine, at the airport “Borispol” on Thursday, February 24, 2005. UNIAN reference. Natan Gozman is an Ukrainian-born American who was born in Berdichev of Zhitomir region. In 2003 Gozman was detained by Ukrainian policemen in Zhitomir region. On the 23-d of January of 2003 USA Ambassador-Designate to Ukraine John Herbst insisted on the extradition of Natan Gozman to USA during the meeting with the former Ukrainian General public prosecutor Gennadiy Vasilyev. However Mr. Vasilyev said that it was impossible because there were no extradition treaty between their states. On the 24th of February of 2005 Mr. Gozman was deported from Ukraine.
