Natalia Vitrenko and Vladimir Marchenko, right, the leaders of the Progressive Socialist Party of Ukraine (PSPU) during the 1st of May meeting of the PSPU in the Kyiv center, Saturday, May 1, 1999. On Saturday evening, October 2, 1999 during the pre-election PSPU meeting in Kryvoy Rog the 30 participants of the meeting were wounded by the explosion of two shells. From the mentioned above amount 18 persons were hospitalized, four ones - in the grave condition. Vitrenko, who was slightly wounded in left thigh, left the hospital after she had got the first medical aid. Two Rostov oblast-dwellers, Russia, were seized red-handed. According to the Central Regional Court under the Ministry of Internal Affairs information, they received the shells from the mistress of the Head of the local Election Headquarters of Alexander Moroz, the candidate for the President of Ukraine.
