Members of the sate committee go up the new giant oil-accumulator tank in Brody of Lvov region on Tuesday, December 21, 2004. That day the unique Ukrainian oil-accumulator tank by tankage 75 thousand cubic metres was put into operation. The tank has been built for 4 years, the cost of the work performed by public corporation “Ukrtransneft” is 51 million hryvnas. All the operations were executed by domestic contractors. The project of this giant (diameter 78 m, height more 20 m) was fulfilled by a woman, the ultrastrong microalloyed steel was developed and smelt in Mariupol’s “Azovstal”. To the New Year the tank will be filled by oil. It will allowed to take away risks during oil transportation by the trunk pipeline Odessa-Brody. Photo by UNIAN
