On Thursday, January 12, 2006, vice-chairman of Verkhovna Rada Committee struggling against corruption and organized crime Grygory Omelchenko asked Ukrainian President, head of Ukraine’s Security Council and Public Prosecutor to check information concerning implication of Mogilevich in “RosUkrEnergo” company that is an intermediary in gas deliveries to Ukraine. According to Omelchenko’s information, Semen Mogilevich, who was present during signing of the gas agreement between Ukraine’s Naftogaz and Russia’s Gazprom in Moscow, is a fugitive from justice.
