The Congress took place on Tuesday, May 25, 1999, in Kyiv. The congress unanimously passed a resolution, according to which, the UCIE and the Ukrainian Confederation of Employers will support Leonid Kuchma for President Elections of 1999 and support Alexander Omelchenko, the present Kyiv Mayor for the forthcoming Mayor elections.
