Vitaly Meshin, the General Director of the Milolaev-based Alumina Factory (MAF) takes a car after the press-conference, which took place in the UNIAN agency (Kyiv, Friday, July 2, 1999). After Meshin had left UNIAN he went to the Security Service Of Ukraine (SSU) to give evidence on the accusation in alumina contraband and illegal opening of currency account abroad. On the press-conference Meshin declared that the true reason for the prosecution, which continued after him for several years, is the yearning of Transnational Company Trans World Group to control MAF.
