President Victor Yushchenko at the exhibition dedicated to the International Day of Persons with Disabilities opening in Kiev, Wednesday, December 3, 2008. Speaking at the event President stressed that he is optimistic about what has been done in last two years in protection of persons with disabilities in Ukraine and in improvement of their living conditions.“My strategic goal is to show the society that people with disabilities are Ukrainians too; that they want to work, learn, visit museums, etc”, - said President Yushchenko. Within the framework of the event President also presented state decorations to persons with disabilities and to those who contributed to improvement of these people’s life.
