Inter-Parliamentary Conference

Egor Stroev, left, the Chairman of the Federation Council together with Alexander Tkachenko, the Chairman of Ukrainian VR are leaving the VR building, after the first day of Inter-Parliamentarian Conference "Belarus, Russia, Ukraine - experience and problems of integration" in Kyiv (Thursday, June 10, 1999). About 250 parliamentarians from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Yugoslavia as well as the delegation of the CIS inter-Parliamentary Assembly took part in the conference. In the course of the conference the representatives from Russia and Belarus support the joining of Ukraine the Belarus and Russia Union. The representatives of Russia marked that the Russia and Belarus Union is the "Illegal organization" and "it is not serious to speak about the Union" without Ukraine. Photo by Sergey Demidov/UNIAN
